Financial Extraction Technology

This technology was originally developed with a focus on the SEC’s EDGAR database, the target audience being the High Yield bond market investor. The application reads in plain–text (unstructured) financial reports,  identifies and extracts the relevant line item data, then automatically transfers the information into structured, easy to manipulate form (such as Excel spreadsheets). This application was included in the analytical tools provided to clients by HYmarket.com, and contributed to the portal’s increased popularity (launched in March 2000, HYmarket.com is the leading research and analytics portal for high yield professionals in the US high yield bond markets).
